Alimiyyah Programme


Madina Gateway Academy is presenting a 3 - 5 year Alimiyyah programme

(Dars  I Nizami). The aim of the Alimiyyah curriculum is to produce Ulama (Scholars) and leaders who are competent in the Islamic Sciences such as Tafsir and Hadith.


Possessing the professional skills necessary to serve, guiding and lead the Muslim community with excellence.

MODULES TAUGHT WITHIN THE COURSE

Aims:


Understanding Qur'anic tafsir in attempt to provide elucidation, explanation, interpretation, context or commentary for clear understanding and principle of God's Law.

Qur'an (Tafsir & Usul al Tafsir)

Arabic (Grammer & Literature)

Aims:


Understanding classical Qur'anic Arabic and grammar


Learning Arabic grammar (context-dependent), vocabulary, literature, and expression.

Balagha (Rhetoric)

Aims:



Hadith (Hadith & Usul al Hadith)

Aims:


Understanding the importance of Hadith in Islam.


Intensive study of the major collections of hadith


Understanding and interpretations of the hadiths in terms of their linguistic, theological, spiritual, and juristic implications

Kalaam (Theology & Doctrine)


Aims:


Understanding Islamic doctrine ('aqa'id)


Understanding and defending Islamic beliefs, known as the Principles of Religion, against external and internal criticisms and intellectual attacks.



Islamic Philosophy

Aims:



Legal Studies (Fiqh & Usul al Fiqh)

Mantiq (Logic)

Aims:


Understanding the evolution of fiqh (Islamic jurisprudence)


Understanding of the divine Islamic law as revealed in the Quran and the Sunnah


Principles of Islamic jurisprudence, (the roots of fiqh), the methods of legal interpretation and analysis.
